Policies & Guidelines

 

By agreeing to this document, you agree to participate in ECO Canada’s (“ECO”, “we”, “our”) Research Community. Your agreement indicates understanding and acceptance of the following: 

Purpose of ECO Canada’s Research Community

The purpose of ECO Canada’s Research Community is to gain a more in-depth understanding of the environmental industry from the unique perspective of environmental professionals and employers. Learning about these perspectives will help ECO Canada continually improve its products and services and will also help to elevate the profile of environmental employment in Canada.

Recognition for your Participation (ECO Canada EP members only)

You may want to put this on your resume or you may belong to a professional association that will give you professional development (PD) credits for your participation in the research community. We will be happy to confirm your participation for you.

ECO Canada’s Commitments

1.0 ECO Canada follows federal and provincial privacy legislation. For more information on our privacy policy, click here .

2.0 The Research Community Manager will contact you via email regularly to inform you of any news, activities and/or changes related to the community.

3.0 As a community member, you will participate in discussion boards. You understand that ECO Canada itself will not attribute any personal insights to you, but your posts will be read by other participants who may quote you. If you are concerned about this, you can choose to contribute under a pseudonym.

4.0 We will use the personal information you provide us for the purpose defined under “Purpose of ECO Canada’s Research Community”, anonymously or in aggregated reports; and to keep you updated on ECO Canada’s latest news and programs through our monthly newsletter.

5.0 ECO Canada maintains anti-virus protection and manages the content of its own website. However, we do sometimes expect to use other online platforms to gather information and, while we use only reputable third- party suppliers, we cannot be responsible for the quality or content of other websites or third-party products.

Participant’s Commitments

1.0 If you participate in discussion boards, we ask that you maintain normal professional standards, including showing courtesy and respect to others. This also includes respecting their privacy and providing valid representation of your own views.

2.0 We may occasionally post research or poll results for the benefit of the community. We ask that you do not copy or quote such research or results, unless we explicitly give blanket permission or you request our permission.

These Policies & Guidelines are subject to change. Any changes to this document will be brought to your attention before it is implemented.
